Canon PowerShot A70 (1 Viewer)

Never under estimate the power of your camera.

If you can't get the best camera then make the best of what you have got.
A lens is better than no lens.

I started photography 30 years ago with a much poorer camera than the A70.
Learn to get the best out of it. Learn it faults then you will know what a better camera will do for you. Some faults may infact help some styles of photography others hinder.

"Whats the best settings that people use?" well that depends on what you intend to photograph and under which lighting conditions.
