Sierra de Guadarrama and Extremadura (1 Viewer)

When would be the best time to visit the Sierra de Guadarrama and Extremadura? Target species would be Spanish Eagle, Great Spotted Cuckoo, bustards and sandgrouse. I guess spring, but I have an opportunity to go this August. Any views on whether that would be OK?

I should forget the Guadarramas for your target birds and concentrate on Extremadura, they're all much easier to see there, going to be pretty hot in August though.
