Adult Rppell's Vulture feeding

Adult Rppell's Vulture feeding (Gyps rueppellii)

An adult feeding on a wildebeest carcase in the Masai Mara, Kenya.

Unfortunately carbofuran (the same stuff used illegally to poison raptors in the UK) is killing large numbers of vultures in East Africa.

Wow, brilliant low camera angle with fantastic feather detail and eye contact. Outstanding Steve!!!

When I lived in Lamu many years ago, the island, inundated with vultures tried poison to reduce numbers. Pretty grim sight.

This is a wonderful image depicting a truly beautiful bird. Great job, Steve.
