And a mantis for the road... (Not known)

I don't know the species name, but this little creature, less than an inch long, is an adult praying mantis. Not only tiny, but beautifully camouflaged. They are common around here, but I seldom spot them. Everything about this little one is designed to confuse they eye, including its own eye.

What an impressive little predator this gorgeous creature is Rose. Excellent narrative describing the uniqueness of this Mantis. Superb!!!
 
Great insect photograph Rose. I have been up in the NT around Darwin area. I had a great time getting many bird photos.
