Behind bars...... (Taeniopygia bichenovii)

A brief stop near the cruise ship terminal at the Port of Darwin brought some surprises, including a number of Double-barred Finches flitting between bushes and the fences, just metres from our car.
Habitat
The Double-barred Finch prefers dry grassy woodlands and scrublands, open forests and farmlands. It is never far from water.
