An excellent post ... well done Rahman ... Greetings from India friend ... thnx for sharing the image ...

Yo are right Luc it does look like gold.
Beautiful image...do you know which species of Butterfly it is.

At first glance,it,s one of the Fritillaries, but my references don,t cover Rahman,s Homeland.:-CThe nearest I can find, that is found on the N/African coast is the High Brown Fritillary.I thought also maybe a Silver Washed, but again I,m not familiar with the local species.:h?: Great shot,I can,t wait till ours start showing.!!! :-O

That's just lovely Rahman. Great macro work to get both the butterfly and flower in focus.

Hello again Rahman, the more I look at your superb photo the more I,m convinced it,s a Silver Washed Fritillary,In my part of World I,ve only seen and photographed one, which was a male, the one in your picture is,I believe, a female, as it doesn,t carry the horizontal black scent lines on the forewings. One of my "goals" this year is to find some more of this large fritillary and get a picture of a female for my "album" :eek!:
