Hoopoe (Upupa epops)

The real fun of the birding day was the meeting with these two hoopoes. First I saw them on the dusty road my wife was driving the car on. We stoped at several meters from the birds and took some photos. The birds seemd undisturbed and went on searching for food. We fallowed them ans so on for nearly half an hour. When the forset we had on our left ended the birds left us letting us happy with the photos.

spent a while following these in Spain recently, managed finally to get a few ok shots of adult feeding juvenile so i know how difficult this can be
