Venus observed

Who said telescopes were just for the birds?

Venus in transit, with the solar image projected onto a wall. The telescope is a Swarovski with x 30 eyepiece, the tripod a Gitzo, and the wall an old sheet of weatherboard.

Taken at about 9.50 a.m. local time, 6 June, Adelaide, South Australia.
Location
Adelaide, Australia
Equipment used
Canon EOS 30D
Awesome shot, great presentation, tfs. Impossible here, completely overcasted sky. My raw files also show the "Venus" effect sometimes but after cleaning the sensor ...

Well done Rufus. A great picture that is too.

I had no chance - thick cloud cover here.
