They're stunning to see ... at a safe distance :eek!: We sometimes see muskox from the highway or the train when we cross Dovre mountain towards Oslo. I believe the Norwegian muskox were re-introduced using stock from Greenland. Lately they've been having health troubles, possibly from using salt licks that are set out for sheep, so they now think they need to fence in the salt licks so that the muskox and sheep aren't sharing them and thereby sharing microorganisms.
