Small Carpenter Bee
Small Carpenter Bee (Ceratina sp.: Apidae) 8 mm (0.31 in) or less long. Photographed on Hispid Acapulco Wedelia. A native perennial shrub (Wedelia acapulcensis var. hispida: Asteraceae).
Habitat
South Texas Plains vegetation area, Lower Rio grande Valley, manicured park with some native trees, shrubs and herbs at ca. 43 m (141 ft) elevation.
Location
Bannworth Park, Mission, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA.
