sanderling
the poor bird only has one foot, but it didn't seem to be too much of a handicap, it was running as fast as the other sanderlings present; the fact that they are lightweights probably helps a lot.

Such Beautiful Looking Waders, Fabulous Detailed Image Lovely Work Well Done JJ Tfs!!!!!!!!!
All The Best
Sue & Simon,
Hope Its Ok !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This poor soul probably had to suffer a lot until it was able to reduce the impact of its handicap. Great info that it copes so well with its destiny, esp. for a wading bird. Lovely portrait with a story.
I wish you more luck with the next r-b shrike.

Great shot of this beautiful sanderling even with its handi(footi?)cap JJ, TFS!

Good to know his handicap doesn’t impede him, JJ, and a well detailed study.

Based on your very good observations this cute wader is coping, but it must be rather difficult, JJ.

Super shot!

Stunning close-up of this one-footed speedster. I have always been amazed me at how well wildlife adapts to their handicaps. Brilliant JJ! TFS!
