Colours of Love, for Picus (Melitaea phoebe)

I must confess after seeing the wonderful macro shots posted recently in this site of Butterflies and other insects, I had decided to give up posting more Butterflies. But as Luigi asked me for Butterflies from my area, Im posting this experiment: a macro shot with habitat I still wonder if it is a good idea.

I hope you like this one, Luigi and all the others, it would be a reward after all the crawling and contortionism I had to do to get it and after standing my family making fun of me and taking pictures of the event ( :storm: ).

Ah, so finally you found it, Luigi! I though you would never see it or you didn't like it! ;) I'm glad you did. But it is not my first Butterfly, I posted others but long time ago, taken with the old Canon or the compact Nikon.

Great butterfly picture. There is a nice 3d feeling in this picture :) . Of course you shall post butterfly pictures.
