Dark-eyed Junko

I don't seem to get many shots of these beautiful Junkos. So I'm always happy to get a decent photo.

I've been having better luck with slower shutter speeds, too. This one was 1/80 at ISO200. I think that's about as slow as I'm willing to go before bumping the ISO (if I have time to sort it out!). When possible, I use a tripod. Usually with the knob on the ballhead loosened a bit so that I can re-aim quickly as the birds move. I usually don't get a chance to tighten the knob - but this level of support still makes a big difference.
