Fairies at the bottom of the garden! (Elminia longicauda)

African Blue Flycatcher -also known as the Blue Fairy Flycatcher.

This is a bird that I've always struggled with. It is hyperactive and usually keeps to deep shade. At the Rondo Retreat we were sitting on the porch of our cabin sipping afternoon tea and looking out over the gardens when one of these wee sprites flew down into the low branches of an adjacent tree and demanded a photograph.
