Field Sparrow (Spizella pusilla)

I've noticed these guys scattered intermittently among the feeders over the past month. This past Friday was the first day I was able to catch any good shots of them (in focus shots, that is).

This is also the first image that I have processed through [i]Rawshooter[/i], a freeware RAW conversion program. I've been rather disgruntled over the exaggerated noise and detail loss of RAW files processed through [i]Faststone Image Viewer[/i]. Trying out [i]Rawshooter[/i] for the first time this morning, I was astonished by the difference in clarity and noise control over what I had been using. It was as if the Vaseline had been cleaned off the lens. Amazing.
