Thanks for your kind comments. Kensington Park, where this pic was taken is a very special place for just a local park. There are many bird species present there: eagles, osprey, hawks, cranes, herons, wild turkeys, songbirds, ducks, grebes, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, and others. Much of the wildlife there are very comfortable with the the presence of humans. People have been hand-feeding birds there for at least 50 years, so it is easy to get birds to come to you. These birds were feeding from Matti's hand within a minute. I've had black-capped chickadees, tufted titmice, white-breasted nuthatches, and downy woodpeckers feed from my hand at Kensington. I've also fed hummingbirds sugar water from a test-tube in my hand at my garden. (See my avatar). This took a couple of hours, not because they were afraid of me, but they are more attracted to the many flowers.

This is the second year we've had an exchange student stay in our home. We've really enjoyed having them with us.
