I,was out one day looking for Kingfisher and spotted the Nuthatch,dont they look similar ?.with dissappointment that the Kingfisher was not in my area.
 
Great shot! I'm jealous, I'm still trying to get a really good picture of the ones in my yard. How did you ever get it to eat from your hand?
 
I think trusting is the word, rather than tame, youngbirder! The location is in a local nature reserve and quite a few people do go through this wood.

As for getting it to eat out of my hand, I didn't have to try! The first time it happened, I was trying to entice some Blue Tits and Great Tits down out of a bush when this cheeky blighter flew up from behind me and started feeding off my hand. At one point he even tried to land on my camera!

My tip is to you is ALWAYS carry a camera with you . . . you just never know what will happen!
