Thanks for your kind comments. I've shot quite a few birds - lots of birds in flight, birds doing allsorts - hunting, mating, nesting.... But getting a decent shot of a nuthatch was a challenge and a half. They have an uncanny ability to take off at the sound of a camera shutter lifting and be half way out of the frame by the time the image is captured.

This is one of my favourite shots ever - I was lucky enough to really capture the attitude and character of this little guy.
