Rainmaker

Also known as the Spur-winged Plover (for obvious reasons). I posted this fellow earlier this month, but have learned a little more about effective in-computer processing since: this version is resized and sharpened in PMView, but otherwise the same. To my surprise, it makes quite a difference. He (or she?) went through the whole bathing routine for me while I got lots of shots. A few days later, I ran into the same bird in the same place doing the same thing, but I had run out of flash cards. No matter, I'm happy with this one. F5.5, 178th sec, aperture priority, 28mm camera zoom, 20X scope zoom.
