Red-legged Partridge (Alectoris rufa)

  • kim
It is possible to do some bird watching without legs. Tuesday I took myself to the moors and arrived at 5. 30am to see the Black Grouse Lek. Had magnificent sightings for 2 minutes and then the mist descended. I could hear them for the next couple of hours - then as the mist lifted - so did they and away they went. The pictures weren't worth posting so a little compensation with these two which I spotted and which gave me time to capture before they scuttled off.

Beautiful capture! Some mornings are like that. Our morning here began with bright sunshine, then it got overcast and windy. Thanks for sharing!

A fabulous, detailed, sharp image of this beautiful, colourful pair Kim !!! Thanks for sharing.

There's something about red-legs that's really rather attractive, isn't there.

These have given you a lovely pose and picture op Kim. A super image this Kim.

I'm so glad you're managing to get out and about lass.
