Red tailed hawk
What a morning. I emptied a full CF card on this raptor. But after 45 minutes of handholding the 500mm EX prime (ouch!) I missed the shot I was waiting for, a fast dive from the perch, undoubtedly to pick off some poor rodent. Dang! Do they ever drop rapidly! At least it was a superb morning in the mid 50's F (13 C) outside...far improved from the upper 20's (-3 C) the other day. LOL!

LOL happens Jason. Frustrating though!!

This pose really made me laugh - a real cracker that, and I twisted my neck trying to look at him. Don't know why I did that!!

A super picture - very well done laddie.

Holy Cow Jason! Could you catch a more adorable pose? I think not.

This is beautiful guy and needs to be printed and hung.

You got your prize Jason ! Great shot and pose , yesterday I got arm ache after carrying a Canon 100-400 for few hours outdoor photography ! Your bigma is heavier ! That is why usually I take light weight Nikon P600 !
This bird is glorious and your shot is excellent , many tfs ;)
