Ruddy Turnstone (Arenaria interpres)

Earned myself a very nice meal in Holt for taking this shot of my girlfriends favourite bird. Who knows, maybe she will let me out with my camera a bit more often from now on ;)
Habitat
Shoreline
Location
Morston, Norfolk
Date taken
25-11-04
Scientific name
Arenaria interpres
Equipment used
S2, 500mm, 1.4x tc
With pictures like that you should persuade your girlfriend to spend more time in Mother Nature.Excellent shot.

I hope she's planning on framing it and hanging it on the wall - it's a stunningly good shot.

Of course, with shots as good as this you're going to have a hard time persuading 'her indoors' that you really need a D2X!
