Great timing on this flight shot! Hummingbirds are so hard to photo with a wing spread like that. Well done.

I see and have read that the Santa Marta range is an endemic lovers dream. Awesome aerial of this Blossomcrown going after the marmalade bush. Excellent CB Allen!

It is an extraordinary area: the views from the ProAves Eldorado lodge are pretty unique overlooking the forested mountains and below a whole succession of coastal cities. And of course fantastic birding with over 20 endemics - and with several more putative splits for distinct Santa Marta races likely in years to come. We hope to re-visit Colombia in the next couple of years as the 3 weeks we spent there recently only scratched the surface. A pity we were a few weeks too early for a chance to see the new Antpitta discovered around Eldorado! Good luck if you get to visit. Chris.
