South Norwood Country Park

I visit this place, which is a Local Nature Reserve, at least once a year. Years ago it was a regular haunt, not a long drive from my home and quite productive. I've seen Great Grey Shrike and Marsh Warbler there. Also Kingfishers, occasionally a sandpiper, Grey Wagtails, pipits and chats. Small areas of reeds, with Reed or Sedge Warblers. These days it attracts Little Egrets. It's also good for dragonflies.

It's an extensive site, mostly rough grassy ground and low scrub, but with a medium sized pond with an island in the middle (this picture shows only part of the pond: the bushes on the right, with three small posts in front of them, are on the island).

Thank you for your kind comments on my pictures, and good birding!
