Sunny Pintail (Anas acuta)

Another shot of a drake Pintail at Leathes Ham, Lowestoft but this time taken on a sunny day. I was surprised to see the green patch on the head and it appears in several shots, although they could be of the same bird. Ron

Another super Pinny close-up Ron, well done mate...I was taking pics of Jackdaws (again) yesterday, and one of em had some really green feathers under the wing. I get em in the garden all the time, but I've never noticed this on any of em before. I thought it could have been me new glasses, it wasn't the beer, honest!!!
