Verditer Flycatcher (Eumyias thalassinus)

This is the second time that we have spotted and captured this flycatcher. First time was far up north at Maredumilli..but that was a distant capture. Unlike most other flycatchers this one can be spotted both in tree foliage in mixed flocks or perched out in the open such as dried branches on tree tops or over hanging power lines!
Habitat
Dry deciduous forests, hilly terrain of Eastern Ghats
Location
Penchelkona, Andhra Pradesh, india
Date taken
Dec 22, 2019
Scientific name
Eumyias thalassinus
Equipment used
Nikon D750, Sigma 150-600S
such a beautifully coloured bird, Kish, and a great photo, nicely posing in the open, top marks, many tfs!!!

Lovely shade of blue! He must be hard to see against the sky on a sunny day, which is perhaps the point ;)
