    This is a Polyphemus Moth that was on my front door thursday morning when I arrived home from work. 6-19-03 I think. It was taken with a Canon Pro90 IS on automatic and 7mm about 2" from the subject.

    Yes they smell. That's how I found a Snowy Egrets nest this summer on Deer Island. Ammonia smell.
