Canon R1 Rumours on new R1

Anyone seen this from Jarred Polin, supposed to be "breaking news" that Canon have announce spec's on the R1 and Sony on the A1 2...just saying !

    Canon RF 200-800mm IS USM

Personally as a UK shooter I'm little disappointed with this lens even more so with Canon generally, I didn't particularly rate the extending 100-400 taking a long time to get used to the 100-500. Whilst Nikon and Sony are churning out some interesting lens at lower price points we get this...

    Grey imports.

Purchase a 5D4 from Panamoz, sold it 2 years later to MBP for £350 less than what I paid for it, no issues selling apart a £30 drop in the valuation due to a higher shutter count.

    Grey imports.

Been using Panamoz for quite a few years now and never had an issue, certainly supply and especially cost exceed all expectations. Highly recommended.

Canon R3 & Canon 800MM F/5.6 RF Lens Combo anyone yet..?

Personally I think the R3 has merits for bird photograph, I know there's a few on this forum that have used the 1DX2 so the natural progression. R3 has better AF over the R5, better buffer as you would expect, cost wise you can pick one up from Panomoz for around £4900 and thats where I'll be...

Facebook !....not really. He's an established reviewer like him or not, gives his opinion based on what ever testing he dose, ultimately as you say it's a choice to be made.

    DSLR's Are Dead

Can't agree that EF lens work better on a RF body, yes my remaining EF 500mm 2 lens works just fine on the RF body but is that better than a RF version ? I don't know I haven't tried and I'm unlikely to find out at £13k. My 100-400 was changed to the 100-500, (I wouldn't do it now, as since Feb...

Upgrading for a 7D which way to go?

Are you really considering upgrading to a camera to one over 7 years old ?....I have a 7D2 which I haven't used for a very long time as I use mirrorless, the only reason I still have it is it's probably only worth about £200. Recently I was photographing a Red Throated Diver as it was at some...

Canon R3 or Canon R5 for bird photography?

Battery life can/is an issue with the R5 focusing on small birds in shrubbery isn't, just assign spot metering to one of the back buttons
