    I've not been to Upton before, but would quite like a look around this afternoon. How do I get a day permit for today? The two places the website lists as selling them (the Wildlife Trust HQ and the Outdoor Centre next to the reserve) both seem to be closed. Or at least, they're not answering...

Since I haven't been able to get hold of the map on the Observatory website (but do have maps of the peninsula), which area is the triangle? It's not...

    Thank-you. Whilst I'm here, I notice the Spurn website is down for maintenance. I'd like to access the map that was on this page: www.spurnbirdobservatory.co.uk/map.html I can see it on Google's cache, but can't save and print it. Does anyone have it in to email me or a working link?

    I understand the base location for the first four weeks is Westonbirt, and the second four weeks Slimbridge. I presume the live shows and Unsprung each Friday will come from those places and the reports from the ^^above^^ sites (Spurn et al) will be recorded and then broadcast during the live shows.

    Marsh Sandpiper at Blacktoft Sands. Tremendous bird. It kept landing in front of each hide I sat in, too!
