    Black kite ssp Rwanda

    Recently (march 5) saw this group of black kites in Rwanda (Gashora). Milvus migrans parasiticus is the common species down there, while M. m. migrans is an uncommon winter visitor. To my eye, the bird on the right is juvenile parasiticus while on the left is alt migrans. Any divergent opinions?

    eBird, however, lists this as a rare option for that part of Rwanda, and so I looked a little closer. Seems more possibly an African Hawk-eagle, no? Compared to Ayres's, has a whiter belly. Any pointers appreciated.

    Greetings, this raptor was seen in Gisenyi, Rwanda (~1700 masl) March 2. My first thought was common buzzard, but the tail banding seems rather distinct and thicker than B. buteo, and the breast markings dont seem quite right. Other option would be Mountain Buzzard but it doesnt seem marked...

    Seen yesterday in scrub/forest adjacent to agricultural land. Three birds total, but photos may be of only two different individuals. Candidates seem to be Indian or greater spotted eagles and tawny or steppe. Thanks in advance!
