Vote for the most famous BF bino contributor

Everyone seems to get pretty excited and appreciative when Henry Link posts. Does Holger Mlerlitz post here? you see his name held in revere as well. I tended to have gravitated towards lilcrazy, FrankD, and Steve99's posts. That Brock character is someone I imagine I'd enjoy sitting back...

    alpen wings ED 8x20

Anyone have any actual hands on experiences with this little bino? Comparisons to other models/brands of 8x20 - 8x25 appreciated. thanks in advance

Why so many alphas returned for adjustment?

One pays a premium for premium quality. I dont own and alpha, likely wont, however IMO (worth what you paid for it!) every alpha on the shelves should be cherry. It is inexcusable to pay top dollar and still get QC issues. This is why Swaro will drop bino's and scopes in the next 20 years...

    vortex diamondback versus Kowa...

unlike binoculars/optics, where one pays disproportionately for the last 2-5% of performance, in high end audio equip one pays DEARLY for that extra .001% of performance. And i think I am being generous!

The bushnell elites have a nice balance of simplicity and classy accoutrment (sp!?) I fancy the simple elegance of the theron LT 8x32 (shown on the right) and there is certainly something about the Nikon SE 8x32 that speaks CLASS. The much much lauded SIGHTRON can turn heads for opposite...

    Pocket binocs recommendation

I dont understand this either. Take it a step further, why so few mid/lower priced compact models in 5.5, 6, 7x range? I refuse to believe it is market forces only. Perhaps there is something in terms of the physics... is it that much more difficult to design a small lower power bino that...

    Sightron "Blue Sky" II 8x32

These nikko sterling nighteater 8x36 bear more than a passing resemblance as well... http://kinneysshootingsupply.com/nikko-stirling-binocular-p-461.html Allegedly Bosma made in China, off to Aussie land, then the world.

Swarovski 8x32 EL & Nikon 8x32 SE what a combo!

crunchy... too fast...bit of slack...inconsistent tension... You guys pay EXTRA for alphas?! ;-)
