    Dark backed Gull central London

    In central London today without bins or camera and came upon this Gull on the South Bank. Mantle dark blue grey. Darker than Yellow-leg but touch paler than graelsii. Legs - Pink! Not bubblegum but as per Herring. Light awful and only had phone so pics poor and dont show leg colour at all. Size...

    Eider ssp?

    Hi, The attached pic was taken by my 11 year old daughter last week at Seahouses Northumbs. I haven't seen teh bird - she was on a trip with her mum. It's an Eider with a striking Orangey-yellow bill. Maybe a slight hint of sails but nothing definite. I was wondering what opinions are...
