    TSN-99A Stay-on Cover

The scope is great, near perfect. I love the extra light. I really like the 40x wide angle. I’m not convinced I can id birds better with the 40x, especially in low light, but it is an absolute pleasure scanning and general birding. I often carry my zoom, thinking I’ll switch over to compare...

    emergency birds in flight setup

Hi, I've been out of the camera game for a few years, strictly digiscoping, but I was greatly pained last week not being able to shoot a couple jaegers in flight, that I really wanted. For the moment, I just want to stay pretty cheap. I'm thinking of picking up a 400 f5.6 and some body, both...

TE-11 WZ zoom scraping and clunking

Oh, I will but I'm just curious whether others have had this issue with the eyepiece, given this is my second one. Thanks

    TSN-99A Stay-on Cover

Yeah. That won't suffice. It doesn't even cover the moving parts. To me it seems Kowa went for style here, not protection. Plus, it's outrageously priced.

    TSN-99A Stay-on Cover

That one I don't like. It doesn't cover the whole scope, not even the moving parts.

    TSN-99A Stay-on Cover

Hey. I got a 99-A used. I've never used an angled scope, but for stars, grandkids, as well as digiscoping I went for it. Still have my 883 anyway. But I was quite disappointed they didn't make an old-style cover that would protect it in the back of the car, etc. So I got an 884 cover and...

TE-11 WZ zoom scraping and clunking

Hi. My eyepiece worked fin for years, until it began scraping and clunking inside when zooming in or out. These are not just heard, but fely as well. I figured it was just wear and tear, expecially because of how much I was putting on and off a PhoneSkope adapter. I sent it in to be fixed...

Digiscoping with dual camera cel phones

Where di you wind up with this? I am considering an iPhone 8 Plus. I have heard that the dual cameras is a "Phonescoping revolution", but you know, I always fear change.

    7d for telephoto video

Hey, I've been shooting a 7d with the 100-400 for awhile now. I've never tried video, which I will do soon. I'm probaably going to spring for a Mark II soon, but haven't yet. I want the Mark II because 1. - autofucus doesn't work on the Mark I when I have a tele-extender on, and of course...

Updated Trip info NW Ecuador - Itinerary and Guide

Greetings. I previously posted, looking for birding travel companions to NW Ecuador for the middle two weeks of July. At that time I was planning to rent a car and 'just do it'. Since then, I have gotten a talented guide, who has created an amazing detailed itinerary to try to 'clean up' on...
