    Guide in Corfu

Yes they don't seem to value their avifauna except for hunting! We are having a holiday and not a birdwatching tour in early May but would welcome some local intelligence on what was about! Even though they have the Gerald Durrell connection it seems to have little to do with Corfu these days...

I have some old literature for the TSN 1-4 series and the TSN 611-614 series so I could probably scan them for you. PM me your e-mail address and any particular interest.

    Sony A500

Just for the record on teleconverters, there are a number of problems with Sony http://www.dyxum.com/lenses/teleconverters.asp (where have the graphics gone!) The gist of all this basically forget auto focus functions where the converter takes the maximum aperture smaller than f5.6. So if you...

    Sony/Minolta 1.4 Converters

On my A700 there is a setting to 'slow' down the autofocus. This was recommended as a precaution to avoid over powering the Sigma lenses. I can't say I have noticed any downside to using the slow setting but I don't normally take subjects where they need a quick focus. Graham

    Sony T mount focus confirm

There are plenty on fleabay but you will notice that you need to make a number of decisions re the actual type you need. Dyxum has this thread http://www.dyxum.com/dforum/topic29573.html and they tend to use an adaptor custom programmed for your lens. You might prefer to go down that route...

    Sony/Minolta 1.4 Converters

This is a very vexed subject and I have struggled with it. The following link is probably the best overall article. http://www.dyxum.com/lenses/TC/index.asp I have two TCs for Sony one is a Teleplus 1.4x and the other is a Tamron-F 1.4x imported from the States. The latter appears to be...
