Help with dating Zeiss Dialyt 8x56 B/GA T*P Binoculars

Ah ok, so it's marked T*P, not T*P*. The difference between the two is in the markings only, not in the prism coatings. Graham

Help with dating Zeiss Dialyt 8x56 B/GA T*P Binoculars

So it's a Dialyt 8x56 marked T*P* and manufactured in 1990. Do I understand that correctly? Is it marked "Made in West Germany" or "Made in Germany"? Graham

Email Zeiss who will tell you the year of production. Gary Hawkins may also chime in with the year if he sees this. Graham

Help with dating Zeiss Dialyt 8x56 B/GA T*P Binoculars

My 7x42 Dialyt T*P is marked 'Made in West Germany' and was made in 1993. Zeiss did not change the marking with the unification of Germany, but several years later. Graham

Hi Arthur, A few years ago I lost one of the objective covers for my much-loved Nikon 8x30 EII here in the UK. I contacted Nikon UK who immediately sent me a replacement pair without charge. Thank you Nikon! Best, Graham

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

I understand from a dealer, who put the question to Swarovski on my behalf, that the prisms are Schmidt-Pechan. Graham

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

Ed, the Linet is nowhere near 96* AFoV. Linet were notorious for their completely over-the-top claims on their prism covers. They wouldn't get away with it today. The AFoV is probably mid 70s so comparable with the new NL. Graham
