    A nice nocturnal turn up a few minutes ago, when a . 72: Grey Plover or two called a few times. I've seen flocks of probable Grey Plover from my window, always too far to be absolutely certain they weren't Goldens. And a Tawny Owl too.

    BH: here I keep hearing an Oystercatcher, which I still need for the year, here. But it's a Song Thrush doing a reasonable impression. It'll be a case of "Cry wolf", when one does eventually fly over!

    On the heals of the Swallow, a 71: House Martin it, too going south!

    A very expected 69: Swallow, at last, then, within 2 minutes, a 70: Merlin! carrying prey (hopefully not the Swallow!) being pursued by a Crow.

    My dedicated scope search paid off dividends this afternoon with a 67: Hen Harrier distant, but definite, high & westward. Also today: 6 Siskins, 3 Redwings.
