    2017 UK orchids

    All three are out at the moment. Very few Monkey's though as its been far too dry. Think I saw max of 3 flowering and total numbers tiny compared to other years.

    Orchids in Cyprus

    Try around the Akamas peninsula for Serapias and the hills around there for other orchid species especially Ophrys. I took a tour around there last year. Some great plants to see, even non-orchid ones!

    They look like some plants I came across recently, again in a field that holds both species. The added complication there was the addition of southern marsh orchids in the mix too! I think we need a portable DNA analyser!

    Been down to the seaside today to see how the dune helleborines are doing. None in flower (as expected/warned) and probably a week or more before they are out.
