    Norwich Birding

    Had 5 birds fly high north over Whitlingham this afternoon at around 1645 - looked and sounded like Stone curlew, probably not so unusual at this time of year as they disperse from breeding grounds and prepare to head south.

    Grasshopper Warbler reeling and showing on occasions along the boardwalk at UEA campus- from the massive tree stump, along the Yare. Also a Cuckoo singing.

    Small fast bird in flight - Florida

    The first bird is Northern Rough-winged Swallow, I think - happy to be corrected. The second looks like Greater Yellowlegs - also happy to be corrected. Cheers Josh

    As has been said previously on this thread, experience and the relevant qualifications are key to getting a job with birds, or within the wildlife conservtion sector. I've got a fair amount of experience under mybelt, volunteering for the RSPB, Kent Wildlife Trust and I spend last summer...
