    ATS65 vs ATS 80

The specs are fine: 85/25=3.4 and 95/30=3.17.

    Fell for the 128RC2 trap!

I have the VA-5 and it works well with my Swarovski ATS 65 which is also a rear heavy scope.

    A Tripod Primer

Thank you for your comments, I am sure the Berlebach is an excellent head but it is a bit pricey. Ben

    Upgrading tripod head

I have a Sirui r-2214 tripod recently purchased and am looking to replace the mvh400 befree head. My scope is a Swarovski ats 65. I am considering the Sirui va-5 or the Manfrotto meh 500. Any advice would be appreciated. Ben.

    10x42 Trinovid HDs

I too have 8x32 BA but for a light 10x42 I would seriously look at the Nikon Monarch HG

    New bin, EL10x50SV

    345 ft at 1000yds is 115yds @ 1000yds and that is identical to 115m @ 1000m. You have to be consistent with units. You are correct that 15.1" @ 10' is 378' @ 1000yds.

    Super-bins Shoot-out: Zeiss SF8x42 meets Swarovski 8.5x42

I have an 8.5x42 SV and I doubt I would swap for a SF because the extra cost would almost certainly not be worth it as the Swaros are that good. However if I was in the market I would definetly want to take a look at the SF due to its wide field of view.

What year did SV start on 10x42 Els

It is 2009 that is the year of manufacture of my 8.5x42 SV EL

    Swarovision Objective Covers?

I have an 8.5x42 SV and a 10x42 EL and the caps on the SV are secure, but the ones on the old EL were always loose.

    Zeiss 7x42 FL size?

Another option is the Swarovski SV 8*32. It has the flat field of the EDG and is about the same size as the EDG 32, however it has the same weight as the Leica and Zeiss. Or in a 42 size the lightest alpha is the Leica Ultravid 8x42 BL. Ben.

    If you had to choose?

I have the Leica 8x32 and the Swarovski 8.5x42 EL SV, and if I could only keep one it would definitely be the EL SVs. The little Leica is very good but the SV is clearly superior.

sv8x32 and sv10x32,whcih one to go?

The field of view of the 8x32 is 141m and the 10x32 is 120m. The apparent field of view of the 10x32 is slightly greater than the 8x32; 64 degrees vs 61 degrees. Ben.

    Ordered the 10x32 SV EL

For someone with small hands like me the ergonomics of the SV are much better than the original ELs which were not bad handling themselves. Ben.

    Ordered the 10x32 SV EL

I actually never had a problem with "rolling ball" and it must have been an 8x30 SLC. It was many years ago and it was more field curvature, which was noticeable when viewing static objects like a street sign. As I said it was many years ago and it made me very happy that I brought the Trinovid...
