    Celestron Regal 80 F-ED vs Theron Mag82

    I sold it cheap, was too lazy to return it(bought in foreign country, and so on ; ) Zoom up to ~40x It was brighter and more sparkling than a Kowa ts1 30x60mm. I think I would crank it to 50-55x in bright light. Whole thing feels like a Nikon ed82 copy, zoom eyepiece is too narrow. The 30x EP...

    I have had the Mag82 in another brand, but looks was exactly the same. I got it cheap from a german store, I never got to hear why it was sold a 1/3 of the price. ANYWAYS, I found that one of the internal moving lenses (focusing lenses?) was a tiny bit wopplying when focusing back and forth...

    Can a small bino really deliver?

    So even when the eyepupil is small like 3.5 mm, a 10x50 binocular will have greater contrast and resolution than a 10x35? C J
