    Understanding California migration

Thank you, Silverwolf. What I really don't understand are the migration patterns of the pelagic birds. I assume that is twice yearly too.

    Understanding California migration

Thanks though I've spent a lot of time on that chart. Will keep at it I guess. Please close this thread.

    Understanding California migration

We just moved here from Minneapolis where I fully understood migration. Who was coming through and when, how long birds could be expected to stick around, etc. Trying to understand how things work here in Los Angeles.

    Moved to L.A.questions.

Just moved to Hollywood. Can I list the two Mute Swans I saw yesterday at Hollywood Forever cemetery? How about the Parrots and Parakeets that I hear moving through the trees? And the Bulbuls? And I am not one of those "your list your rules" guys. Random thought: Amazing the number of...

    Should I give up birding?

Could this photo be 100% real?

    Should I give up birding?

There are punk rock birders. Just not here. perhaps I will start a local group. I also told the wife that she could hide my binoculars if I ever start dressing like a birder.

    Should I give up birding?

When I started I went on a few group bird walks where at 45 I was the youngest person there. I was also likely the only one who had the Ramones cranked on the car stereo on the way to the walk. I've decided I like my birding to be a soliarty experience or one that I share with my wife...

    Water Inside Bins

So they can be fixed? I was worried that there would be no way to get all the moisture out and that I would deal with internal fogging problems forever.
