    White-feathered American Crow

Crow wing Thanks for all the input. I didn't get any flight photos except this partial wing shot as the crow flew away. It's blurry but you can clearly see his three white primaries.

    White-feathered American Crow

I spotted a white-feathered American Crow yesterday, hopped out of the car and clicked one shot before he flew off with his all-black cohorts. It appears that several of his primary feathers are pure white. Can anyone tell me the proper adjective for such a bird? Is it "melanistic" or "partial...

    Which Camcorder?

Ben- I own a PC-330. I bought it for its single-frame time-lapse capabilities, which are flawless and hard to find in a camcorder. I also used it briefly to video barn owls through a telescope. This nice little camera would be better if it had 3 CCD's and didn't load tape from the bottom (remove...

    Greetings from barn owl country

I'm a new member - interested in exploring digiscoping possibilities with camcorders. I recently shot a 27-min. video about barn owls (see www.barnowls.com), and would like to branch out to other birds. Barn owls are very cooperative subjects. They don't mind lights at night and they raised...
