    Blue Rock Thrush? NE Spain

Thanks Dougie, should be able to get plenty of pics now as they're still flitting around on the roof opposite the house. Hope they're here to stay - very elegant birds and a nice voice. Cheers Andy

    Blue Rock Thrush? NE Spain

Hi I've seen a pair of these recently on the roofs here but only managed to get a photo today. Never seen them here before (or anywhere to be honest). It is a Blue Rock Thrush, isn't it? Cheers Andy

    Woodlark? - NE Spain

Would you mind taking a look at this one, taken today. I thought it was a Woodlark when I saw it on the track but am not so sure now. Cheers Andy

    40D Backfocusing Isssue

Do let us know how you get on with the new lens. There've been quite a few positive comments here regarding the Sigma 150-500mm so be interesting to hear what you think. Cheers Andy

Is it worth remewing my norton antivirus?

I would download the Free Edition of AVG, turn off Norton and run that for the next fortnight to see how you get on. Personally I have found Norton to be a resource hog, and a serious pain when testing the internet suite it offers.

    Eagle - NE Spain

Thanks guys, the size made me doubt more than anything although it was a few hundred metres away I guess.

    Eagle - NE Spain

I just caught this as it appeared over a ridge and disappeared again. I thought it might have been a young Golden Eagle and looking at the very poor shots I got I guess it might well be. Any other suggestions? Cheers Andy

    Excel Graph

One easy way to do is is to highlight the row or column you have the data in and then select the graph icon in Excel or Chart > Chart Type from the top menu. That will give you a wizard to work through. Cheers Andy

Wild flower ID please - NE Spain

Thanks very much for that Andy, I've had a look around on the net following your post and read up on it a bit. Sounds like its habitat is scrubland near to pines - there are a few Mediterranean pines on the edge of the plot and the area is certainly best described as scrubland. I may put a bit...

Wild flower ID please - NE Spain

I'm not one for flowers really but this had me interested. We have a bit of land outside the village here with a few olive and almond trees. The climate is pretty harsh, very hot summers, cold winters and very little rain. Having said that we've just had the wettest May for years and...

    Problem with virus

I would have a read through the posts here http://rabidwombats.blogspot.com/2008/06/win32glenwiryp-fiasco.html - it seems it MAY be a false positive. Andy

Taken from my office window, this black redstart was making the most of the midday sun.
