I just caught this as it appeared over a ridge and disappeared again. I thought it might have been a young Golden Eagle and looking at the very poor shots I got I guess it might well be. Any other suggestions?

Cheers
Andy

Thanks guys, the size made me doubt more than anything although it was a few hundred metres away I guess.

a fresh juv. Spanish Golden E, therefore of the race homeyeri, should not show so much white on wing, but immatures (2nd to 3rd plumages) do indeed. Also, looks the rough and uneven tail and chiefly wing profile, typical of those ages, with 2 to 3 moult waves.
