    havent been here in awhile..new shots

    yes a few years ago i saw the flicker maybe 2x a year..and now we have 4 in our yard daily..3 males, one female. not been able to see where they nest but they know where the suet cakes are!

    thanks guys..hes a little soft in the beak but i was so excited. we now have 4 males and 1 female that we have been able to spot. right on our feeders!

    I have NEVER seen these before. We started putting out a bird seed with beetles in it and the next day we had THREE males and female.

    thats scope yea i dunno. ive seen some marvelous images here. but you know..i have a canon 70-200 IS and a sigma 50-500..why spend more.. thanks for all the input!

    Birds in the snow

    our yard is filled with birds since the colder weather. at least 10+species at any given time. now we have snow which makes for good photos. thanks

    Suet feeding.

    ours get eaten up in less than a week. we have 4 cakes out and other kinds of cake feeders, and they eat em up like crazy! we find them for 99cents each anyways. pw

    there was another guy here one time who posted about horrible ways to get rid of squirrels..they have as much right to be around as anything else. feed em all or dont feed any i spose. not keeping them happy, just trying to keep all fed without too much trouble.

    we have 3 birdhouses on the side of our own home and they have built there for a couple of years. i heard the babies but never saw them. fun to watch the parent bring bugs bigger than them to the house! pw
