    I was there on Thursday, Rafe. There were plants in all stages. Some just past their best, some peaking, and some still had buds on them. The Flys were looking good as well. Rog

    2016 UK Orchids

    There was 1 Early Purple in flower and 1 in bud at the IOW site I visited yesterday. Just checked my records and last year I visited the site on 16th April and found lots of EPs in flower plus 1 Green-winged. No sign of Green-winged anywhere near flowering there at the moment. Rog

    Yes, I was shown it the day after it was found. It's quite near the last plant that turned up in 2013, and in line of sight of the Purbeck colonies about 16 miles away as the seed flies. Rog

    Don't know what the first one is, but the second one is Red Campion (Silene Dioica), third is Sainfoin (Onobrychis vicifolia), fourth is Selfheal (Prunella vulgaris) and I think the last one is Musk Mallow (Malva moschata). Rog
