    Safari - 100-400mm II + TC or 150-600mm Sigma/Tammy

Excellent news re the MkII, thanks very much. I'll probably have it on a FF body so will have the 1.4x for a bit more reach.

    SLR Hut

I've used them twice and found them excellent although they do ask if they can sell you other stuff. Great price and fast accurate delivery.

    Safari - 100-400mm II + TC or 150-600mm Sigma/Tammy

Thanks Cliff. I guess if I don't go on a specialist photographic tour, the vehicles could be cramped and a long lens a problem as you say.

    Safari - 100-400mm II + TC or 150-600mm Sigma/Tammy

Thanks Niels. That looks a good little camera. I'll probably have 2 SLR bodies with me so I guess I could have the 100-400 + 1.4x on one and 24-105 or 70-200 on the other.

    Safari - 100-400mm II + TC or 150-600mm Sigma/Tammy

Hi all. Going on a potentially dusty safari in October. I have the 100-400mm mkII and mkII converters. I'm wondering whether to get a 150-600mm to take instead for ease of use and fewer lens changes. All thoughts most welcome! Thanks. :t:

Advice on ND filters and holders please

Hi All Just thinking I might have a go at landscape stuff and would like to use those slide in rectangular/square ND and graduated filters I see people using. Lee seem to do great stuff but at a high price. Anyone have any experience of similar but cheaper stuff? I would probably use my...

    Canon 7dmk2 or canon 5dmk3

If reach is the main issue then the 7DII is great. If you want to shoot in low light the 5D3 or 1DX are the best options. I think as you have the 7D, adding a second body in the form of the 5D3 makes a lot of sense and change the 7D to the 7DII when funds allow. I've had 2 camera bodies for...

KIRK, RRS OR JOBU FOR CANON 600 f4L IS MKi

I use the Wimberley replacement foot. It's very low profile meaning it's very stable but also that it's a bit of a pain to hold when carrying the lens.

    7D2 BIF help needed

Against a complex BG, centre + 4 does well. Here's an example.

    CANON 7Dmk2 prices?

I got my 7D and grip from Panamoz. 100% in my view.

    7D2 vs 1D4

Very surprising! I didn't really think any pics would be in focus.

    7D2 vs 1D4

7D2 AF is brilliant In case there was any doubt about the AF ability of this camera, photographing damselflies in flight over bright water was quite a challenge.

    Lens decision help?

Many people start off with the Canon 100-400mm as I did. It's a great lens, even more so by the look of things in its latest guise, and it does lots of things well enough to be satisfying. Great for taking on hols too if you might do some wildlife snapping. :)
