Low budget binocular – could such, in some case, as the first ones for a newbie, be worth buying?

Looking thru progressive lenses, my old eye can’t tell the difference between the Zeiss Victory and the Leica Trinovid HD. But my old eyes could see the difference in the Diamondback HD and the Trinovid HD. The big difference was the blurring around the outer edges on the Diamondbacks. What...

Low budget binocular – could such, in some case, as the first ones for a newbie, be worth buying?

Did you miss that I sold my ZEISS Victory 8x32 T* FL? Those were as good and probably better as the Leica 8x42 Trinovid HD I just bought.

Low budget binocular – could such, in some case, as the first ones for a newbie, be worth buying?

I’ve had a pair of the Sightron 8x32 Blue Sky bins for years. I kept them in the truck console and took them to Michigan football games. Recently I sold my Zeiss Victory T* FL to reduce my overall toy inventory. After having alpha withdrawals, I got a bargain on an 8x42 Leica Trinovid HD and...

What case are the Leica 8x42 Trinovid HD owners using?

Since I just sold my 8x32 Sightrons, and bought a Leica Trinovid HD 8x32 and the Cabelas Intensity 8x42 (these are crazy stupid great bins), I opted for the inexpensive OP/Tech soft pouch for about $18. For my Leica bins I’m looking for the Rick Young digital camo case since I have a lot of...

Leica Pocket like all purpose bino?

I have the 8x20 Ultravid BR and they are great. I use them for turkey hunting and early season bowhunting (sorry, I’m a hunter). I used to have the 8x20 Trinovids but the eye relief didn’t work for me as an eyeglass wearer. The Ultravids work great.

What case are the Leica 8x42 Trinovid HD owners using?

Just got the 8x42 Trinovid HD bins and love them. However, that brown upside down case sucks. Seems that they want you to thread the straps thru the back of the case and use them like that with it in the way imo. I’d really like to have a neoprene case that opens from the top so I can carry...

Who do I believe - Leica Trinovid HD versus Zeiss Conquest HD

Actually, I sold those long ago and bought the same Zeiss Victory in the 8x32. Then I thought I should start unloading some of my toys so my wife has the money in the savings account instead of having to deal with them - and I just sold the Zeiss Victory T* FL 8x32 recently for $50 more than I...

Wow - what a surprise set of bins

I recently decided to purge some of my toys and sold my Zeiss Victory 8x32 T* FL for more than I paid for them 8 years ago. Feeling remorse, I just received a pair of like new Leica 8x42 Trinovid HD yesterday at a bargain price. At the same time, I received a Cabelas Intensity HD 8x42 for the...

Who do I believe - Leica Trinovid HD versus Zeiss Conquest HD

I’ve narrowed my choice down to these two. One online review had 6 (non-expert) testers and they chose the Zeiss. A birding review rated the Leica a bit higher. The Zeiss does have the T* coatings but I have the Leica Ultravid 8x20 so I’m familiar with their quality as well. Just trying to...

Any reviews on the Vanguard Endeavor Ed II Binoculars - 8x32mm

I’ve been away from the site for a while and it looks different from what I recall. Was there any threads on this binocular? Thanks.

How would you repair these 8x20 Leica Ultravids?

UPS is suppose to deliver my Leica cover today for the 8x20 Ultravids. The mating surfaces for both will be cleaned with 91% alcohol. I have both an unopened tube of Goop (with a long tube applicator) and some Gorilla gel superglue. I used Goop to glue the components together for a recent...

How would you repair these 8x20 Leica Ultravids?

I was looking at my 8x20 Ultravids and noticed the front cover looked warped and was loose at the top. I was able to peel it off real easy (looks like it had been glued on with an elastic rubber type adhesive). I cleaned it off and used some Fletchtite glue use to attach feathers to arrows...

What bird did I see today?

    Oh crap - it's a Starling! Thanks.

What bird did I see today?

I'm in SE Michigan and looking out the front picture window, I thought I saw 2 starlings in the front yard - but they looked different. I had my binos so I got a closer look and they a bit "chubby" with a long yellow beak,]. And although with a dark body color there was a greenish tint in the...
