    Temminck's Stint also at S'Albufera yesterday, with more curlew sands and dunlin than recently. Wood warblers still coming through and a very late common chiffchaff singing briefly. The golden eagle also turned up again in the last couple of days, not sure where she's been hiding!

    Thanks Martin! Another good day today, with the obvious highlight of 2 white-winged terns, plus still at least 3 collared pratincoles and an apparent increase in little stints and curlew sands. Two spotless starling around also, plus one lapwing finally making the list for this year!

    More migrants today: four collared pratincoles the highlight, but more wood warblers and woodchats than previously to, plus Eleanora's becoming more obvious. Even a white wagtail! Any ideas why moustached warblers may be getting scarcer in the parc in recent years? Or just my imagination?

    Pied fly, woodchat and assortment of waders today at S'Albufera (avocet and curlew sands both arrived yesterday). Spotless starling just near S'Albufereta. The list creeps up!

    There's only one record of Clamerous that I know of in Lebanon (at Aammiq some years ago) and I looked very hard for a couple fo years. I'm sure they are there though! From the degree to which the bird beds the tip of the reed it has to be reed on body mass alone?

    agreed. Trumpeter are mostly eastern here, only rarely making it as far inland as Arusha (though I don't know where you shot this one!).

    OK, I'm thinking Plain is an option too - it's not a bird I know well at all - I've never had a daylight view for a start! But yes, the lack of head markings are all wrong for european, and work much better for plain.
