African Islands: Gulf of Guinea Islands, Bioko (Fernando Po)

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 8 subspecies[1]:

  • B. l. camerunensis:
  • B. l. manengubae
  • Mt. Manenguba (southwestern Cameroon)
  • B. l. lopezi:
  • B. l. barakae: *
  • B. l. boultoni:
  • B. l. mariae: *
  • B. l. usambarae:
  • B. l. ufipae:
  • B. l. granti:

An additional subspecies manengubae is not generally recognised[1].
The scientific name is also spelled lopesi.
* barakae and mariae have been split by some authorities[2].

Habitat

Moist shrubland and montanes.
